Information about Interpol.

Formed in 1998 in New York City, Interpol are closely associated with the booming New York indie music scene. They emerged from the post-punk phase of the early millennium with a sound which mixes bass with stark, crisp guitar. Prior to picking up the Interpol name, they performed a little advertised show at New York's Luna Lounge under the pseudonym Cuddleworthy. Already the demand for Interpol tickets was gathering momentum.

Their latest offering, Our Love to Admire, is a different tack for Interpol; it is the first album recorded by the band in New York City and their first keyboards-included arrangement from start to finish. Keyboards are often added to songs later, but never from the very start of composing. Our Love to Admire is more variable than its predecessors, featuring more experimental songs such as Lighthouse. The band toured the 2007 summer festival circuit thoroughly supporting the album. Interpol headlined for a day of the Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago, receiving rave reviews.
