Beirut's alarming combination of Eastern European and folk structures has enabled the young band to turn a fair few heads, beginning during Zach Condon's early days as a 15 year old recording artist with his prototypical indie outfit, The Real People. Condon's progression as a quite exceptional talent has led to the formation of Beirut, who recently turned in an amazing performance on the Glastonbury Festival's Jazz and World Stage.

Condon is truly a prodigy, attending Santa Fe High School until the age of 16, when he droppped out to travel Europe and sample Balkan gypsy music and other styles from eastern Europe, including the Boban Marković Orchestra. It is not often a young person with his credentials comees along, and it is recommended you obtain some Beirut tickets very soon and see this guy do his thing. You will not be disappointed.
