Information about Badly Drawn Boy.

When Q magazine named Badly Drawn Boy in their list of the "50 Bands To See Before You Die" in 2002, the interesting English indie chap was also part of a sub-list of "5 Bands That Could Go Either Way", on account of his habit of indulging in chatter with the audience, and between-songs storytelling. In time, though, Badly Drawn Boy has emerged as something of an indie phenomenon, selling the "tickets to what you need" around the world.

Real name Damon Gough, Boy wrote the score for the film adaptation of Nick Hornby's novel About a Boy. The Weitz brothers asked Gough to write the score, which he did without help from anyone. He released three singles from that album in 2002. He spent some time in the USA, but returned to his native Manchester to record One Plus One Is One, a somewhat autobiographical account of live in England. Score some Badly Drawn Boy tickets and see this witty and creative guy do his thing. He's never bothered to try to cash in on his Manchester associations, but instead has remained in his own colorful niche, mindful of the pitfalls of the limelight.
